Can adhesion’s be causing my chronic loose stools?

loose stools colon

I’m a 42 year old woman who has 7 major surgeries due to ovarian cysts and ectopic pregnancies. Over the past 2 years I have been hospitalized 8 times ….twice for bowel obstructions, once for a gallbladder attack that required having my gallbladder removed, twice for colon infections & the other admissions never turned up any sort of infections or obstructions but they blamed the vomiting, diarrhea & horrible abdominal pain to adhesion’s from past surgeries.
I have been dealing with constant loose to watery stools for close to two years. I’ve tried to alter my diet but regardless what I omit or add to my diet does not change my bowel movements.

Is it possible that these adhesion’s could actually be causing the loose & watery stools? Is there anything I can do on my own or medially to end this?

I’m a reasonably thin (5’6″ 135 lbs) but my abdomen frequently is very distended (To the point that I actually look like I’m pregnant!!!) and I’m constantly dealing with terrible abdominal pain.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions or advice.

Thank you!

Dr. is confusing, one minute serious next just getting older?

15 years ago, colonoscopy and had polyps removed, had bleeding in stool, dr. said normal, nothing to worry about. 8 years ago had 3″ x 8″ melonma removed on upper arm. 6 years ago more bleeding in stool, colonsocpy and more polyps removed, Dr. said sometimes polyps rupture but everything is fine. 5 years ago more bleeding and polyps removed. Year ago emergency visit, Different Dr. did another coloscopy and polyps removed still had bleeding, dignosed first time with diverticulits and all colon appeared to diagnosed except last 10cm. warned to change diet, did that, but still having bleeding and constpation with severe body oder to loose bowel movements. moles appearing on trunk and underarms, finger nails with spots under and splitting like splinters. Went back for dr. visit with more bleeding and was told just signs of getting older…did colonoscopy year ago and was to soon for another…Does this seem normal? Need to change Dr again? if you clean out your colon, will you lose weight?

colon cleaning weight

i’ve been told that cleaning out your colon gets rid of unwanted toxins, therefore helping you lose weight. is this true? and if it is…how can i do it, BESIDES DRINKING WATER. i already do that. i really want to lose 10 pounds. i exercise ALL the time as i am a major athlete, and i have a pretty good diet…but clearly exercise and eating healthfully doesn’t do it all.

First colonoscopy at 62 yrs old – worried?

My husband is 62 years old and has never had a colonoscopy. He has a physical every year and has done the stool test a couple of times in the past 5 years and everything was fine. His diet could be better and he is slighly over weight. He does not have any symptoms – no cramping, bleeding, etc. A while back he had a brief time of having loose bowel and told his doctor. It’s not a problem any more. I started reading up about colonoscopies and am shocked that most people have them starting at age 50. His doctor never suggested one until this last appointment. Do I have reason to be worried? Could there be polyps that have now turned into cancer that may have been caught earlier? If he did have colon cancer would there be some symptoms?
Denisedds – thanks for your additional post. I have been freaking out all morning thinking for sure that my husband has colon cancer because he hasn’t been screened and he’s 12 yrs past the typical age to get screened. I read that sometimes people have it but have no symptoms so now I’m convinced. Thank you for your post.

Could I have colon/bowel cancer?

I’m 20 years of age and for the past 10 months I’ve been suffering from constipation, going to the toilet more frequently, abdominal pain and my stool comes out in small lumps or just big lumps. I’ve recently had a tiny amount of blood in my stool. I’ve had an abdominal ultra-sound and nothing has come up, it’s all clear. I’ve also had haemorrhoids ruled out by my doctor. I’m having more blood tests and I’m hoping to have a Colonoscopy, if the blood tests come back. I’m really worried and anxious thinking that it is cancer.

I had to re-post the question, too many grammar errors.
I eat well. I don’t drink alcohol or fizzy drinks. I don’t take drugs or smoke and there’s no history of cancer in my family.
I’ve stopped eating bread and processed meats. I rarely have sugar in my diet.
I’m at a good weight.
